Peeking over the roof of the bow-fronted pharmacy is the castellated tower of St Mary's church, a building that dates from the 12th century, and largely rebuilt in the 15th century. Prestbury Park, home to the famous National Hunt Gold Cup meeting each March, is nearby.

Although I moved from Prestbury to Gloucester in 1966 when I got married, then to Somerset in 1967. Prestbury has always held a special place in my heart, I always call it my home.
