H.P. Farr, Watch Maker

A Memory of Rickmansworth.

I grew up at 43 Grove Road, Mill End,1931-1955. My much beloved father, H.P.Farr was
the Watch Maker for about 40 years at 165A High Street. Dad occupied the little shop from about 1929 to circa 1969. I think the photo is wonderful.

Hi bettie, I agree the photo is great, I am Tony I had the corn and seed merchants in station road. I can remember Harry farr as a watch maker from back in the 1950s I assume you are the daughter. My business in station rd was started by my grandfather Harry at the turn of the century he used to travel to the corn exchange in London to do his trading, he died in 1932 when my father took over and when he died it came to me. Trade was getting less and less so I sold up in1985. I have many memories of ricky, do you have any more. Tony barton.
