Runswick, A Fisherman's Cottage 1936

More about this scene
Lobster pots dry in the fresh air outside one of the tiny cottages that cling to the dramatic cliff swooping down to the sea. Coastal erosion is a constant peril around Runswick bay. Storms in the 19th century twice claimed all the houses here, but the rebuilding has not diminished the charm of this largely car-free village.
