The fishing village of Runswick Bay is set on a sheer cliff. It is also one of the most attractive harbourless villages along the Yorkshire coast. When this picture was taken, fishermen would have to wait for high tide before launching their boats from the beach.

I was with a group of 8 friends who walked the Cleveland Way some years ago in June. Unfortunately, it was the wettest June for years!
