This is one of the dark, forbidding formations of rock that are to be seen along this coast. One has to be careful while walking along the cliff top because of the severe erosion that is taking place. In fact, in some places the path has been moved back from the edge.

I fell from the campsite at saltwick bay onto the rocks and survived. It was in about 1961 whitsun holiday. We were staying there from Middlesbrough. Does anyone have any recollection of this and any reports? I have been back and it still looks the same.

I was on ths caravan site from 1964 to 1978, my parents Billy and Audrey Bilclough had site number 45. There was me and me sister (Suzanne). What a place to have your childhood, is there anyone out there who was there at the same time?
