More about this scene
On the east side of the village, this is an undernourished Non- conformist chapel, in a sense a poor relation of the Methodist church in Castle Donington. It is a turn of the 20th century brick Gothic building, erected to proclaim the teachings of John Wesley (1703-91), who founded Methodism, and his brother Samuel (1707-88), author of many fine hymns.
