Working At Scafell Hotel

A Memory of Seascale.

My wife and I worked at the hotel for about a year in 1969 I as head waiter and my wife as receptionist also served in the cocktail bar Phil Roddis was there ,as I remember it was a G Bradshaw and his wife who took over It used to get very busy with coach trips arriving regularly and on an evening all the locals would fill both bars we made a few friends amongst the locals mainly Malcolm Wrigley and his wife who we are still in contact with
