More about this scene
The church of St Mary saw many changes in the late 1800s. Walls were rebuilt in the early 1880s, and in the late 1880s work was done in the chancel. A stained glass window in memory of the Rev Frederick Parsons, a former vicar, was added. The Rev Arthur Kaye became vicar in 1894.
