More about this scene
Sherborne Abbey is the burial place of two Saxon kings, Ethelbald and Ethelbert, the two elder brothers of Alfred the Great. The building itself, though Saxon in origin, is mainly Norman and Perpendicular. Its warm stone gives the building an attractive feel in a town of beautiful buildings.
