More about this scene
Shrawley is a very ancient settlement, its woodlands sloping down to the River Severn. Not far away was once a Norman castle, strategically placed to guard the river valley; it was occupied until the downfall of Warwick the Kingmaker, who owned it in the 15th century. The ruins can still be visited.
