More about this scene
This amazingly small- scale country lane is now not only surfaced and widened but installed with traffic-calming cushions to curb speed on the main Richmond-Darlington road. The building on the left became the village's Jubilee Hall in 1978. The boy is carrying oars – most intriguing! Behind him is the small church of St Agatha.
