Skegness, From The Beach 1899

More about this scene
Here we see the bare central beach of a century ago, with no Embassy Centre, fairground car park, Marine Walk and Esplanade, shops, arcades or cafés. Pier Terrace, the Pier Hotel and the Pier itself are there, as well as what was then waste ground between Edinburgh and Prince Alfred Avenues.
