Slaidburn, The Hark To Bounty Inn c.1955

More about this scene
Between periods of calm, Slaidburn once resounded with noise; above the bustle rose the ringing bark of the squire's favourite hound Bounty. The name of the inn had to change! To this day the hunt meets outside. Up the flight of stone steps is the court room, in use until 1937. When the old court room crumbled, the officers of the village moved here, but the old benches were still there to tell of the room's old use.
