Orchard Road
A Memory of South Ockendon.
Moved to Orchard Road South Ockendon from the east End (Canning Town) in 69 went to Mardyke school, still remember good memories about that school, can remember going down to the Mardyke river, there was a very shallow part near the bridge, this was when you could go down Buckles Lane and walk through the old army barracks and not cross a road until you got to North Stifford. When me and Brother was here there was so many places you could walk and play in safety for days on end. After moving around Essex I eventually came back Orchard Road and still live there, used to be such a lovely place to live.
