Park Avenue

A Memory of Southall.

I lived in Park Avenue with my brother Derek and went to Dormers Wells School. In the juniors I remembered Mr Thomas who drove a blue sports car. In the senior school I particularly remember Mrs Short who taught Sports; the only lesson I was interested in! I played in Southal park with my friend Carol James whom I am still in contact with.I owned a pony and spent quite a lot of time in Southall horse market when I should have been in school.Eve (Yvonne)

Hi, I also lived in Park Avenue, Uxbridge Road end, and went to Dormers’ wells schools. In the juniors I remember Mrs Parker and lots of teachers in the seniors as well as Mrs Short such as Miss Pinkney, Mrs tattersall, Miss Evans, Miss Littler, Mrs Chambers, Mrs Gabriel. Your name Yvonne doesn’t ring a bell though. Mine is Katrina Kirkbride. There is a site called An old face from Southall which you may be interested in. Best wishes Katrina
Hi, I lived on Park Ave, number 49 actually. Our house was 2 doors away from the Southall Park entrance and there was a phone box outside our house.
What house number did you live in? I have great memories of our street and Southall Park.
Thanks, some of the names mentioned I do remember; certainly Miss Evans, Tattersall. I lived at 230 Park Avenue. I will look up the site mentioned. Thanks for that. Eve
