More about this scene
The timber-framed Tudor House, one of the city's finest buildings, dates back to about 1500, and has hardly changed at all since this photograph was taken. It became a museum in 1911; many years later, in the early 1980s, its garden was opened to the public as a Tudor garden. Upstairs are aerial photographs of Southampton over the years.
