More about this scene
All the buildings in the foreground were demolished for the ring road. The library survives, but it is cut off from High Street by the ring road. It was built in 1905 with the help of a £3,000 donation from the American philanthropist Andrew Carnegie. The library has since moved to another site, and this building is now used by Stourbridge College.
