More about this scene
The contraption on the brick wall of Allin's Newsagents beside the pub is a vending machine. Today the sign for Allin's has been replaced by one for Micro Dot, a computer company - very much a sign of the times. This street, which is on the periphery of the main shopping area of Stourbridge, has now become rather run down - a pity, since there are one or two fine houses here dating from the 1700s, built by wealthy local merchants.
