Relatives Of My Family

A Memory of Stramshall.

My name is Robert Mellor , my grandfather was Percival Thomas Mellor and as a young boy I used to be taken to my grandfathers relatives at Uttoxeter. We visited two farms there which were joined together, both were dairy farms the top farm was run by a man who I called uncle Tom and the bottom by a woman I called aunt Selena, she had six sons if I remember correctly.
My grand father came tp Ripley Before the first world war and was a miner at Pentrich pit, he is photographed standing near Ripleys first Tram (which is on the WEB) on the !st of Januarey 1914.
