More about this scene
The red brick building is Lloyd's Bank, dated 1879. Next is Robert Joy, draper and milliner (he also had the shop opposite), and then Bruno, baker and confectioner, with the large window on the first floor. The first two shops in the next building were owned by Arthur Brook, glass and china dealer. Agricultural implements are laid out for sale - it is Saturday, market day.
