School Days
A Memory of Sunbury.
I attended St theresa’s Convent from when I was 9 in 1954 until I left the summer I was 16 in 1961. I knew many girls who’s names are now long forgotten but those I do remember like Allanah Bagnall PhillipaWooldridge Philippa Bouwens I did keep in touch ever since including Pauline Robbins. Along the way some have died like Phillipa Bouwens and Susan Taylor and Doreen Chapman but I remember the school with affection and memories of a happy childhood. Now I am old and have great grandchildren but those days I remember. Walking from the station each morning from the train. We lived in Hampton walking at lunchtime to sunbury cross to buy an apple for lunch( diet!) the Christmas concerts and the long drive to walk to the school the tennis and playing in the woods at playtime all very happy memories
