Sutton Bank, Gliding c.1960

More about this scene
The headquarters of the Yorkshire Gliding Club at Sutton Bank, on the edge of the North York Moors high above the Vale of York with views to the distant Pennines, must be one of the most spectacular in the country. This photograph shows a fairly primitive (handmade?) glider preparing for take-off.
