Talgarth, High Street 1937

More about this scene
Talgarth is a small town a few miles south of Hay-on-Wye. Its narrow streets today are almost always congested with passing traffic. Here the narrow High Street has come alive, not with cars, but with pedestrians and cyclists. Union Jacks are in abundance in every shape and size. The photograph could have been taken around 12 May, the date of the Coronation of George VI.
