More about this scene

This attractive three-storey building is in the Jacobean and Tudor style much favoured by its builder, David Brandon. On the right, note the interesting polygonal turret finishing in a gable which blends nicely into the roof. It was an early home of the Micklethwait family, and has been a school since the 1920s.
