As every schoolchild knows (or used to), the tidal Thames finishes at Teddington. The main river is crossed by this spindly-looking suspension bridge of 1888, seen here from the lock island. To the left of The Anglers, out of view, are the famous Teddington TV Studios, while the boathouse to the right is the home of the British Motor Yacht Club.
