My family and I lived at Manor Farm from the early 1970s into the 1980s. My father worked on the White family farm and the farmhouse came with the job. Although I felt isolated at times, it was a magical place to grow up, steeped in history and close to nature. i was evacuated with my mother and brother around 1940 the first time and twice again later during the war. The first time i was about 2 years old and stayed with a couple who ran a public house in cherry hinton so i was told....my mother and baby brother stayed at manor farm cottages.
