Three Bridges, 1905

More about this scene
Over the years, Three Bridges has been swallowed up by the expanding suburbs of Crawley, but originally it was a very small village. The name pre-dates the railway era, but it was the large station, used by passengers changing from the Portsmouth to the Brighton line, that really put the place on the map. Down the street lies the aptly-named Locomotive pub.
