Kite Family

A Memory of Tilshead.

I have read with interest that there are still Kyte's (Kite's) in Tilshead. I have been retyping a copy I have of the Kite (Kyte) family history compiled in the 1970's dating from the 1600's. My ancestor was George Kite who emigrated to South Australia with his family in 1840. George seems to be the first in his line to have changed the spelling of the surname from Kyte to Kite. My grandfather was a Kite.
George apparently led a very exciting life in Outback Australia and the history is facinating reading - I am honoured to have such an interesting lineage.
I live in Horsham in Victoria, Australia. I would love to hear from people in Tilshead who may be related.
