I remember mark Raine his dad was in the army Marks dad was either secutary or treasurer of Tindale cresent club he had the land at the back of brantwood terrace it was known as the gap or raineys land there was a pigeon cree Mr Raine along with many grown ups were responsible for The club trip it was shortly after Decimalisation we got 50 pence ohh it was wonderful Redcar and Whitley Bay. My gran, on the Siddle side of the family, lived much of her life in the house on the corner of Brantwood/Brentwood Terrace. I recall Quadrinis Ice Cream Van. Gran's house was straight across from the Working Mens Club. My dad was brought up in Dent St. Had relatives just along the road called 'Hindle' - the daughter was called Ann I think.
