More about this scene
The 16th-century Guildhall was built on the site of the priory refectory. The covered walkway in front was added in 1897, using the pillars from the old Corn Exchange which stood between the church and High Street. The exchange was built by Richard Lee, once Mayor of Totnes, and two of the pillars have his initials carved at the top.
