More about this scene
The Seymour Hotel was built by the 11th Duke of Somerset, who also built the church of St John in Bridgetown. In the 19th and early 20th centuries, Bridgetown was the height of fashion and the hotel did a roaring trade, but eventually it was turned into flats.
