I Still Remember My Yesterdays.
A Memory of Tottenham.
I lived at 460b Lordship Lane in Tottenham from 1941 -1950 with family and grandparents, aunts and uncle.I attended Risley Avenue Junior and Infant school before moving to a flat on Scales Road and joining Down Lane Junior School for the final term.Went on to Parkhurst Secondary Modern School for boys until I was 15,left to join Pickfords as the office boy/messenger then joined Hackney Wick Greyhound Stdium to become a bookeeper when I was 18. Strange that place would be pulled down and replaced by a stadium now used by West Ham United F.C. I married an American in 1979 and moved to USA in 1980.I am now living in Richmond Kentucky and aged 84.My name is Dennis Austin.Ex Spurs fanatic!
