More about this scene
Towcester is a small old town on the Tove, with a number of Georgian houses and a pleasant market place. At the far end of the market place stands the imposing Victorian Town Hall, while on the right of the picture is a sign for the historic 15th-century Talbot Hotel. The Romans built the walled town of Lactodorum here.
