More about this scene
The lonely grandeur of the Snowdonia mountains is emphasised in stark monochrome in this lake set high above the village on the flank of the Conwy Valley. Once a perfectly wild lake, it was dammed at the beginning of the last century, and is now the deepest reservoir in Snowdonia.
