More about this scene

Just to the west of Tregaron lies a vast bog, known as Cors Caron. This was once a lake that gradually filled with plants on which sphagnum moss grew. As the plants died, peat formed, which became a major source of fuel for the local inhabitants. The bog is now protected. Pont Eynon is on the edge of the bog, and crosses a stream that flows through it. It may be named after Eynon Sais, the abbot of Strata Florida in 1281.
