Cross Street in Ayr became King Street It underwent changes bit is still King Street in 2015
my grt gran lived at 99 cross street ayr,my grandad was born in that house he was william kelly his 2 sisters susanand mary my gt grandparents were sarah and john kelly, cant seem to find cross st have been in ayr looking for it but no luck anyone know where it was in 1900.
Looking to see if anyone remembers my dad or uncle, Andrew (born 1941) and James (approx 1938) (Jimmy) Humble. Their mother's name was Marjorie and father (also James) and they had a daughter who died aged 7, Maria, who was born in approx 1930. Lived in Templehill Troon. They later moved to Glasgow, but not sure what year.
I lived at 51 Becah Road, Barassie, Troon. My step-father was in the U.S. Air Force and stationed at Prestwiick. I remember the gentleman who lived on the ground floor of our house. His name I think was George Mullin. We lived on the top floor. He and I used to go for long walks on the beach and the golf course. I can remember taking tea and having ices. He was a marvelous man.
