A Memory of Trusthorpe.

Can anyone remember the one legged swimmer who use to enter the sea near Trustville Holiday Camp in the 1950's ???????

I do remember a girl that was a few years older than I was (6-7-8) who was with her dad. She had lost in an accident. Tall girl.
Yes I remember him well...he lived near the Holiday Camp on Gibralter Road and he wore a smooth head cap. He used to hop up the steps near the Cafe , take off his gown, before descending and plunging into the sea. He called himself The One-Legged Sea Diver. Once in, one of his favourite tricks was spinnng round in the waves, leg in the air, flicking his fingers and thumbs which made splashes amd spouts of water....shouting 'This is my impression of a whale'
