“I posted a comment about how I was evacuated to Ystalyfera at the beginning of World War 11 (late 1930 ) and stayed with my aunt and uncle at Bryncelyn. Low and behold I have received a reply from the son of my long lost cousin, Conway Rees! They now live in Chicago USA and through the Francis Frith website we are now in contact after 60 years. I can't believe it and am eternally grateful for this opportunity”

“I'd just like to say that I was pointed towards your website after issuing a 'help' plea to my colleagues. I have been hunting for old prints from photographs of a particular area for months........and you had the answer!! I've subsequently put in an order today and, subject to it being as good as your site leads me to believe, I may well be submitting more orders!! Thank you so much”

“Please accept my thanks for your prompt delivery of my order for the framed Victorian map of Shropshire. This is intended as a present to my brother on a forthcoming significant birthday. I am delighted with the map and the framing: the standard of workmanship is immaculate.
I am so pleased with it that I will order one for myself in the near future. I will be in touch again when I am ready to do so.”

Many thanks are also due to the young lady at the end of the telephone, her cheerful, bubbly and friendly manner made the ordering process a real pleasure. “I am writing to thank you for your kind e-card service at this awful time. As I do now wish to take too much advantage of your service - I have sent 5 so far for Easter - please let me know if there is a limit of use, and the price of the cards if I exceed the limit. I must say they have all been well received and cheered the recipients considerably at what is otherwise a dismal time. Thank you again. Keep Safe and Well”
“I have just viewed many beautiful online pictures of old Rochdale. My memories only go back to the 1960's when I started work there but my mother shared her memories of days back to the 1920's or so. What a town to be proud of in the old days and what proud people Rochdalians were. I wish the same could be said of the town nowadays. So sad what has happened. Thank you so much for the marvellous pictures that have both made me smile and brought a tear or two. God bless you”
