“Hello, just wanted to let you know I really enjoyed seeing the old photographs of Aberystwyth. My grand mother lived quite a lot of her youth there, and I was pleased to be able to see the town as she must have seen it. She married and with her family moved to Australia, so her descendants are all Australian. She was very well loved, and it's nice to make this connection with her youth. Thanks”

“I have just been contacted by a Heather Shepherd who recognised my surname as it turned out her grandmother and I were neighbours for the first 20 years of my life. I write to say thank you to 'Francis Frith' for enabling my memories to become so active and I recommend to any one searching for friends/relatives do not give up as Francis Frith makes it all possible. My impending visit to UK in December 2011 has suddenly become even better than I was expecting. The above has just been posted and since I realise that you may not read every posting I would like to take this opportunity to thank you and your colleagues for the most wonderful site on the Internet.”

“Just a note to say thank you so much for the beautiful framed photograph of Edge hill, Old Cottages 1922 which I received on Saturday, just days after sending off my order. My cousin from Canada will be thrilled to receive such a lovely momento of his stay in Warwickshire”

“I have finally received my eagerly awaited copy of the book "I Remember When...". I was curious as to which story your company had published in the book. I was overwhelmed and astonished to see that you have published four of my stories, one of which is on Page 69. This entailed the story of the Majestic Cinema in Mitcham and my subsequent dream of going to the South Pacific. The pictures attached are in fact one of the islands I lived on for 14 years with my husband and two daughters - the youngest was born there and the eldest was 16 months when we arrived. We were there when Papua New Guinea became an Independent Nation and I have many experiences and memories of the island of New Britain - of course I have written these down - but are only for private publication. We left when my husband was murdered, but that is another story.
I continue to live in the Pacific and at the moment I am in Far North Queensland, Australia.
I will continue to write on your site on the different places I visited during my young years. I enjoy reading the book, it is very well presented, and learning of more experiences of the other writers in the book.
Thank you again for publishing my stories and I look forward to seeing another book published next year, whether it has any of my stories in it or not.
I would be grateful if you can forward my thanks to John M Buck”

“I would like to say that I have only just discovered your website, and think it is absolutely wonderful. I have recommended it to several of my friends. I found out some more wonders of your site, that you can send messages to other people who have left messages. I was delighted to send a message to a girl who lived in Shere at the same time as I did 60+ years ago, and who is now in Australia. I cannot praise your site highly enough. Do keep up the good work”

“Please accept my heartfelt thanks for dealing so efficiently with my pre-Christmas order and its complications. The prints arrived safely in good time and have proved to be excellent presents. Two octogenarian parents are normally very difficult to buy for at Christmas, but they are highly appreciative of the quality of the picturs and find the subject matter evocative of their childhood days. Thank you again”

“Re: 2 calendars you prepared for me containing pictures of Old Slapton, Dartmouth & Beesands in South Devon which I sent to two friends who live in Dartmouth. This is just to relay their great admiration and appreciation for their gifts. They were overwhelmed to see pictures of their childhood village, Slapton and to have a different one every month next year will bring back many happy memories. So, you see, not every email you get on this screen is a complaint. Well done and thank you for offering this item. I got a calendar for my parents last year with old pictures of Stanwell, Middlesex, where they were both born and they, too, were really happy and still haven't thrown it away. They just moved it to another place in the kitchen to make way for this year's 'ordinary' calendar. They are 84 and 85 years old.
Many thanks for making five people (including me!) very happy”

“It is lovely to be able to look at the photos on screen, I know they are available in our museum but having MS makes it difficult for me to get to them. Thanks for the opportunity to view them in comfor”
