“I placed an order early Monday afternoon July 3rd and received it this morning (July 5th) despite the order including a book with a personal message on the flyleaf.
Even though we paid for expedited delivery this is still incredibly quick service!
The way life seems to work is that people are very quick to complain but slow to say thank you.
The map and the book are exactly what I wanted and I am staggered as well as being impressed at the rapid turnaround of and completion of the order.
Suffice to say, thank you and I will have no hesitation in recommending Francis Frith to anybody looking for a special gift or historical memento”

“This book is a Christmas present from my grandchildren and has given me so much pleasure to read during my recent illness. Many of my relatives are still scattered around Devon…. Barnstaple is a particular favourite of mine, so again many sincere thanks for the pleasure and memories it has given me”

Memories of the Lincoln we knew and left behind
“We always love the Francis Frith calendar of the Lincoln we remember from 50 years ago, when we left. Ordered one day, with our comments added as requested, and posted the next day. That is a very efficient service as per normal”

“I must apologize for the lateness of response but have only just finished reading said book which I found most informative. The quality of the photographs seems better than previous and the layout of the pages led seamlessly from one to another. All in all a thoroughly good read which leads me to quote some previous author who said, “the book to read is not the one that thinks for you but the one that makes you think.” Your books certainly make you think”

“I have finally received my eagerly awaited copy of the book "I Remember When...". I was curious as to which story your company had published in the book. I was overwhelmed and astonished to see that you have published four of my stories, one of which is on Page 69. This entailed the story of the Majestic Cinema in Mitcham and my subsequent dream of going to the South Pacific. The pictures attached are in fact one of the islands I lived on for 14 years with my husband and two daughters - the youngest was born there and the eldest was 16 months when we arrived. We were there when Papua New Guinea became an Independent Nation and I have many experiences and memories of the island of New Britain - of course I have written these down - but are only for private publication. We left when my husband was murdered, but that is another story.
I continue to live in the Pacific and at the moment I am in Far North Queensland, Australia.
I will continue to write on your site on the different places I visited during my young years. I enjoy reading the book, it is very well presented, and learning of more experiences of the other writers in the book.
Thank you again for publishing my stories and I look forward to seeing another book published next year, whether it has any of my stories in it or not.
I would be grateful if you can forward my thanks to John M Buck”

“ I was just searching for a photograph of a shop that my Grandfather and Father ran at 7 Bridge Street, Wye. Great to find one. My family ran the paper shop from 1962 until I think the Kettles took over. I can't be sure of the end date as both my Grandfather and father have now passed. I can remember living there as a young boy (from age of 4). I also remember the shop being flooded when the river broke it banks. I thought I would just share this with you. I have been back a number of times since and it is great to find your site”
