A Memory of Virginia Water.

i started as a cook then as plumpers mate in the late 60s ive been up the tower witch was the holding the water tanks.the padded cells were in the basment at the front of the building,they still had some of the padding.at the time my mum worked in the laundry down the hill.there is a tunnel witch runs from the sanatorum to the laundry at the bottom of the hill.my family lived in verginia water for some time by the name of jonson and my dad everest lived in hurst lane

I began the nursing program in 1961. How interesting, I had no knowledge of the padded cells in the front of the building. I do remember the long tunnel to the laundry and boiler room.
Do you remember Roy Blaber, the carpenter? He and I were good friends and we sang in the choir. He came to visit me in California in 1972. I last spoke with him in 1993 when HS was in the process of being remodeled. The security guard told me that some people had torn the murals from the dining room walls, and built a fire in the ballroom
I used to be a staff nurse .used to live in lindsey smith house .Virginia water .Great days .
