A typical Pennine farmstead, sheltered by a sycamore and standing on the edge of the moors, lies on the outskirts of Walsden. Note the well-kept drystone walls in the lane which leads up to the farm and then onto the moors, where there is evidence of stone quarrying in the hillside in the distance.
