Old School In Quaker Lane
A Memory of Waltham Abbey.
I went to quaker lane ,i remember it as massive gothic looking building. Teachers mr Harris, mr goodyear , he had loads of stuffed animals in his glassroom. Miss godwin and her nature table , we were incouraged to bring in bits and pieces for it. Tap poles etc. Lol. I remember building the new swimming pool and having lessons in it. Children in my class were renee malone, cheryl eden, cathy codell, Jennifer evens, marie fox, carol darginton, christine fueuxu. Peter parker, tilly, Raymond osbourne. Brian shocter, juilian patherman ? Me i am anne kirk now seymour. Then king harold in upshire , that was bit of a shock big loud , six formers who were very bossy. Way out club . Mr ball headmaster , for some strange reason all german children had to put their hands up in assembly now and then , asked to wait outside his office when he arrived dismissed to our classes ? What was that all about ? There was bob niche ,me and few others. Rip bob. Teachers were ok but can't say any stood out
as brillant . I think please sir an old comedy was based on our school. School reunions were brillant though.
