Polar Bear

A Memory of Wellingborough.

Wellingborough Zoo had the saddest Polar Bear I have ever seen. Its enclosure was roughly three times the size of the bear and its pool was hardly bigger than a bath tub. Even as a small child, I knew this was cruel. It really upset me.

I too remember this poor creature. It would pace back and forth as much as it could, and swing its head from side to side. Of course, we now know this to be signs of a very disturbed animal.
