Caption for Wetherby, High Street 1909: The Angel Hotel on the left was one of three to cater for the motorist; the others were the George and Dragon and the Brunswick. Wetherby had been an important stopover during the days of the stagecoach, but since the coming of the railways it has had to rely more and more on tourists.
