More about this scene
The Church of All Saints and the ruins of the priory dedicated to the Blessed Virgin and All Saints are closely interwoven. The original church was Saxon. The priory was erected in the 13th century by Sir Ralph Manwaring, and occupied by Augustinian canons subordinate to Westacre Priory. The priory was dissolved by Henry VIII and given to Richard Heydon in 1545.
