Whitby, The Spa 1927

More about this scene
The Spa was built in the Victorian era, when Whitby was hoping to become a second Bath. There was a theatre (built in 1878) in the large brick building, whilst its extension, the Floral Pavilion, had a glass roof. Its veranda was a favourite place for summer visitors to assemble, and in cooler weather there were concerts and tea dances indoors.
