More about this scene

Caption for Whitney, The Boat Inn C1955: The Boat Inn, as its name suggests, sits right on the bank of the River Wye. Perhaps its name implies that there was once a ferry crossing here long ago. In 1802, however, a wooden toll bridge was built nearby which is still in regular use today.
