More about this scene
A collection of pleasure craft are tied up on one of the river's many backwaters. Windsor racecourse is close by here. The Round Tower of the Castle is 12th-century, although the site was selected by William the Conqueror. Most of what can be seen from the river was built during the reign of George IV (1820-1830).
