The interior of St George's Chapel is wide rather than high, an effect partly due to the consistent use of four-centred arches. The stalls were provided in 1478-85, carved by William Berkely. They consist of three tiers, the topmost of which is for the Knights of the Garter and the dean and canons; the centre one is for the Military Knights, minor canons and the choirmen; and the lowest is for the choirboys. Behind the top row are high elaborate canopies with helmets and crests.

Trevelyan School

I went to Trevalyan School approx 1967….. Had an amazing English teacher, can’t remember her name, but she taught English so well. Pat Dean was in my class..( would love to hear from you Pat ). Happy Memories

Seeing the picture of the Information Centre brought back lovely memories for me because in 1968 it was The Windlesora Tea Rooms and Restaurant and I had my wedding reception there in October, there was a lovely room at the back for functions. Windsor Barracks

My dad was a soldier in Windsor barracks in the 1950s. I was born in 1954 and when I was 5 went to Spital school across the road, which I loved. I loved living in the barracks too. There was no health or safety rules, we had complete run of the barracks and being around the horses. We then moved away.
